Michelle Obama Might Have a New Dance Partner in Miami

Michelle Obama spoke of dancing and volunteering at the Freedom Tower today

Michelle Obama confirmed Thursday what many in Miami already knew.

The Chicago two-step has nothing on the Miami salsa. First Lady Obama, who spoke today at the Florida Campus Compact Awards Gala held in the Freedom Tower, revealed to the world that she might be in the market for a new dance partner not named Barack.

"I want to thank someone I got to party with on Tuesday," said Obama as she gave a shout out to Miami-Dade president Eduardo Padron. "I think you exaggerate when you said we could win any salsa competition. I might be able to, but I don't know about the president."

The comment made Padron chuckle (and do we detect a hint of blush), but he had to be thinking about the presidential shout out possibly leading to a cameo on Dancing With the Stars.

Still, Padron was smart enough not to toss his name in the hat as Barack's salsa successor and gave the president some props.

"I was truly amazed how well President Obama and Mrs. Obama can dance salsa," Padron told the Miami Herald. "They do it so well they could win any salsa contest here in Miami.''

Padron attended a Hispanic Heritage Month event in DC with the first couple and got to see the famous Obama boogie first hand, and like any White House guest, had to say he was impressed. The salsa veteran even dropped a couple of pointers.

After debating dance skills, Michelle Obama spent the rest of her 20-minute speech talking about inspiring young people to volunteer for something more than the tanning bed.

"How do we harness all that energy and excitement'," she said, challenging the students in the room to make volunteering a career and not just a one-time thing. And if that doesn't work, you could always take up salsa.

Its really pathetic these losers don't see any value in people setting high career goals. Imagine if Howard Hughes, Bill Gates, Jonas Salk, Andrew Carnegie, Rockefeller, etc. had followed this sort of nonsense, and where the world would be today? Imagine the talent and contributions lost to those who HAVE followed this sort of advice.

Aside from that, she clearly demonstrates no working knowledge of where the tax dollars her husband redistributes come from. Idiot.

I got to party with??? She sure desecrates the English language. What a street urchin she really is. Nothing to do with her skin color...she is just plain "common" and happened to have a chance at a good education. For which, by the way, she hates America. But somehow she must have missed learning English. I have read some of her recent speeches. They are full of grammatical errors.

Anyway, I hope that dance floor was well built. And if Michelle ever appears on Dancing with the Stars...oh my, what a sight that would be. She would be better suited for that program for the hefty ones who try to dance off their weight.

“Make volunteering a career!”

How does one do that? Let me guess - it has to do with ME holding a real job, and social justice?!

After holding a $300K do-nothing job because of her name, it’s about as easy for Moosechelle to tell others to volunteer as it is for multimillionaire NFL players to claim they would turn down a paycheck from Rush. “We got ours, suckaahs!”

It makes me think of the nobility of France that moved from castle to castle, attending masquerade balls. This is exactly what one of our founders, George Mason, warned would happen, and we now have the corrupt aristocracy he forecast. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Is this a reference to white girls? Sounds like a racist comment to me.

How does one do that?

Networking!

The first career move would be to Chicago. Then, work yourself into community organizing and onto various hand-out boards.

It would help if your grandfather had been friends for decades with a mutual friend with the corrupt Chicago crowd running local government.
