Huckster is a pro-life liberal. Not even a nice try, liberal troll.

Palin’s grandson was born in sin. Palin failed to provide Biblical guidance to Bristol.

It is this kind of oppressive and frankly unchristian bigotry in the name of your god, that sends a lot of us screaming to find any party except the one you claim to have attached yourself to.

And exactly what is a bible-belt-bigot? Someone who is not an atheist?

See post 58 for the hateful kind of person that pretends to be a Christian and would dictate right and wrong to the rest of us. Our Calvinist sects are filled to brimming with hateful folks like that.

Let me make it clear....I prefer Palin over any other prominent candidates such as Huck, Mitt, Tim etc.

However I saw how badly Sarah’s image was tarnished by the brilliant parodies by Tina Fey and Charlie Gibson etc in 2008.
And millions of people watched it. And most of those people
are not political junkies. They form impressions of candidates
based on TV shows....unfortunate but true.

“Anti-Sarah agenda”? I like Sarah...but tell me how many people you know besides hard core Palinites are going to do “Research” on Sarah Palin...your speaking to the choir...and half of them are jumpin the Republican ship...not just Sarah. We have a bigger problem....you wont do well if everytime someone posts something other than what you want to hear you go Ballistic on them. We have three years...give me a break.

Ummm..you posted this ”for some reason is not talking Energy and showing her strongest points” on the very day she had already written an article on Oil and Energy in The National Review, without even doing a search on Freerepublic, where that article had been posted by several members. If you want to accuse someone of NOT doing something, one would have thought you'd actually at least have a cursory look to see of she in fact had not done what you were claiming or not, before making the accusation, no?

you wont do well if everytime someone posts something other than what you want to hear you go Ballistic on them”

I challenged you because what you posted was false, see?
What you should be doing, is apologizing for making a false accusation against Sarah Palin, without checking your facts first. Instead, far from apologizing, you are instead trying to weasel your way out by throwing even more bombs.

We have three years...give me a break”

Precisely. That is why this poll is not necessarily going to be the same as the polls in the Republican primaries in 2012. I already posted several polls from 2006 and 2007, which had Hilary Clinton and Rudy Guiliani far ahead of anyone else. Both of them still managed to lose in their respective primaries in 2008 anyway.

Go figure.

I see nothing hateful in post 58. That is that FReeper’s moral opinion based on his moral standards.

You don’t want anyone to “dictate right and wrong to the rest of us.” But don’t you realize that that is what law is? Dictated right and wrong?

Our laws say (most) murder is wrong. Our laws say stealing in (most) of its various forms is wrong. Our laws say (most) assault is wrong. We are going to be dictated to and given moral standards to which we must adhere. Christians can get in there and advocate for the best moral standards they know, just like everybody else.

I am further a member of a Calvinist denomination and have yet to meet any member brimming with any kind of hatred. I don’t know where you get your frame of reference.

First, this is about the most unchristian post that I have ever read in my life.

Second, if that is a position that you are willing to defend as a part of "conservatism," then politically, Conservatism is dead. It will not rise again, and we will be stuck with whatever the democrats can think up for a long time to come.

I am further a member of a Calvinist denomination and have yet to meet any member brimming with any kind of hatred.

See post 58, and reflect on your defense thereof.

Of the three, I will only support Palin.

No Huck, no Romney.

I’m open to other conservatives besides Sarah.

Absolutely no false-conservative quislings.

Huckabee is a terminal, big-government nanny-stater. My parents lived in Arkansas under his statist regime. I know the truth.

No sale on Huck, no matter what.

Do you actually READ the bible. I think that some principle Christian concepts are "we are all sinners," and "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? " or "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone"

But now, I here a lot of stone throwing and condemnation from both of you without any concern for the self-conceited jerks that you are, which I think is also a sin according to the bible. Indeed, it is one of the seven deadly sins, or is that just a Catholic thing?

Yes, I read the Bible.

How do you propose laws be come up with? Or do you prefer some sort of anarchy system?

For me to say that stealing, or breaking a contract, or rape, or murder, should be against the law, does not mean I am declaring whoever may have done this or that can not be forgiven. God decides who go to hell. I don’t know why you would assume I believe otherwise.

“But now, I here a lot of stone throwing and condemnation from both of you without any concern for the self-conceited jerks that you are,”

What stones have I thrown? Who have I condemned?

How is it possible to have a system of anarchy?

I asked you first. . .

If you don’t want Calvinists or Christians or whatever pushing for laws that they believe are moral, what sort of framework do you want for law? If the Christians don’t get to contribute, who does? What’s the criteria?

Post 58 didn’t check his rights to have an opinion at the door when he/she became a Christian.

Equal rights for everybody, not just the secular.

He can state his opinion and I can that I think he is a poor excuse for humanity when he states that opinion. I can also state what I think of those who think that opinion is consistent with Christian charity.

I'm afraid I cannot trust this survey.

I'm sure the numbers are about what Mr. Rasmussen is reporting. This is a very early poll and doesn't mean very much - little more than name recognition. Being the designated front runner very early is more of a liability than a strength anyway.

As an example, Ted Kennedy used to do extremely well in polls like this. The moment he decided to throw his hat in the ring (against Carter in 1980), the numbers changed.

It's like the old Vatican saying, “Go into the conclave as Pope, come out as a Cardinal”

It is in Christian cultures that, historically, mankind has enjoyed its greatest freedoms and civil rights.

I wouldn’t be worried about the Bible Belt so much if I were you.
