I sorry but it is none of his business how serious the charges are. His job is to enforce the law not pontificate about what the law should be.

I sorry but it is none of his business how serious the charges are. His job is to enforce the law not pontificate about what the law should be. Yeah but everyone can understand his frustration and i doubt many will criticize him. He will (or would have if he hadn't said this) get a lot of grief for charging the guy only with a measly misdemeanor. So the reality is he probably had to said something like what he said in order to take some heat off him and his department.

Apparently the Sheriff is the attention whore,I guess not enough time and money have already been wasted on this family of idiots.
Maybe the Sheriff figures bringing charges will serve as a deterrent lest someone else leave their experimental aircraft unattended.
