The real question is, why do certain factions want to close it so fast; could be they want to sell sections to “Friends of Government” at the expense of the American taxpayer, considering the Federal Government and Military would be responsible for any short comings; based on the lease.

Closing the prison is a different scenerio. Selling fractions of the prison or Gitmo is treason beyond words.
