I am convinced that the nominee will come from that list (or someone else who's not even on than tist), and it will NOT include either Palin, Romney or Huckabee.

And I absolutely agree with you about Jindal in the #2 spot. He was disappointing in the SOTU rebuttal, but he's much better in interviews and press conferences. Also, he's young and not white, and that helps the GOP with the "old and white" perception problem, especially with the 18-29 year-old demographic.

I think a governor would be our strongest candidate, and my favorites are Mitch Daniels, John Hoeven, Bobby Jindal and Haley Barbour. Any of the 4 would be outstanding picks, but when it comes to raising money there is no question which Repub could match Bambi dollar for dollar (maybe even surpass him), that’s Haley Barbour. I’m not endorsing Barbour, I’m just saying he has a very powerful rolodex. Let the games begin.
