Sorry but Rush was wrong on Mcnab, especially when he said it. Mcnab is a top quarterback Rush bought into the negative hype which passes for Philadelphia sport opinion.
Nothing improper about what Rush said, he just was incorrect.
Rush was dead on concerning McDrabb. The sports press never made a big deal concerning McNair, Culpepper, or Moon - all three much better than McDrabb. The point of Rush’s comment was that the press will not allow a black QB to look bad - even if the QB is average. And that is what McDrabb is - as he has proven time and time again.
I’m not sure why anyone would have a problem understanding that there can be affirmative action in sports reporting just like there is everywhere else. He was right about McNabb but maybe McNabb can be AA’d into the HOF too, since they don’t have their quota of black QBs yet.
He is better than average, but not on par with Manning and Brady like the Media tries to make him out to be.
Who doesn't know the NFL rules governing O.T. and doesn't know how many time outs he has. A real field general there. Not to mention he's erratic and has very poor throwing accuracy. The eagles looked consistently better under Garcia, and Kolb also looked very good in his first two starts, easily filling McNabb's shoes.

Really? How many time out’s in a half?
How can Rush be right or wrong when you mis-quote Rush.
Per Rush, he never commented on McNabb’s ability.
He commented on the MSM media coverage of McNabb.
By mis-quoting Rush, you are just like the MSM.
I’d compare it to the Chicago media, which still claims that Jay C 3-2 is a better QB than Kyle O 5-0. The media seems to have more incompletes and interceptions than the QBs do.
Rush was stupid to tell the truth. There are many theoretical ways of ranking quarterbacks, but in American sports only one that counts, winiing the big game.
I am pretty sure that the Eagles have never won a superbowl under McNabb because I can't remember them EVER winning a superbowl. His completion rate is under 60% and his lifetime QB rating is under 90. He was a respectable second string running back, however.
Rush's point was that McNabb was America's "great black hope". Just like the boxing obsession with the "great white hope". Both desires were racist. The great boxers, for whatever reason, have been black in modern times--the great quarterbacks have been white. Rush was paraphrasing MLK. He was suggesting we should judge qbs by their accomplishments, not by the color of their skins.
