The chairman of a key congressional immigration task force has offered a sneak preview of the compassionate and comprehensive legislation hes crafting to legalize the nations estimated 12 million undocumented aliens.
The measure will be introduced in the House of Representatives in the next few months and includes a citizenship pathway for undocumented immigrants, strict rules for humane treatment of illegal aliens in U.S. prisons and a plan to adjust (increase) foreign visa quotas for American employers.
Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez, chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Immigration Task Force, proudly announced his bills highlights at a recent Capitol Hill rally attended by thousands of immigration advocates. Committed to highlighting the vital contributions that Latino immigrants make to communities and the economy, the task force claims that the only practical and humane solution to the nations illegal immigration crisis is to give individuals a chance to come out of the shadows.
That means passing a law that recognizes the vast contributions of immigrants in this country by giving them an opportunity to earn U.S. citizenship, Gutierrez announced at the rally. This, in turn, will honor the American Dream, assures the eight-term Democrat who frequently boasts about being the Midwests first Latino elected to Congress.
The soon-to-be-introduced Gutierrez bill will also protect the labor rights of illegal immigrant workers who are exploited, allow families to remain together in the U.S. even when several members are in the country illegally and include guidelines for humane interior enforcement that creates policies that respect the tenets of community policing.
Additionally, it will include a controversial and previously defeated measure that grants illegal aliens discounted tuition at public colleges and universities nationwide. In the absence of a federal law, states currently determine whether or not to give illegal immigrants the coveted taxpayer-funded perk

We could counter with a proposal to match Mexico’s immigration laws.
These democrats are morons.
Be a damn site better than ours. Actually, it’s not the laws so much as the a**holes in charge of enforcing them.
We barely faught this off last time. It will be a much more difficult battle this time around. Hopefully the tea party momentum will help.
They have declared war on America
All the while, their intent is to legalize via AMNESTY all the millions of new Democrat voters who are criminally in this country, and many of whom have partaken of taxpayer-funded benefits all the while. Such benefits included being able to drop an anchor-baby, then cry about "breaking up a family" when the illegal was found and threatened with deportation.
I tell ya folks, these Socialists in Washington could give a crap less about what true Americans who believe in the Constitution and the simple values that this Country was founded upon.
It's all about power and money, and control.
“...protect the labor rights of illegal immigrant workers...”
ILLEGALS HAVE NO “F”_ING RIGHTS! Force them OUT, at the point of bayonet if necessary but get rid of these money suckers!
and a plan to adjust (increase) foreign visa quotas for American employers.

I’ve typed and erased, typed and erased...I guess some things are better left unsaid.
This will pass easily with “bi-partisan” support. There will be at least 4 republican senators that vote for this.
“Get ready to fight folks. We have a full scale war on our hands.”
When our politicians seek not only to surrender to an invasion of our country but openly and actively support it then it’s time to get rid of those politicians and those who enable them. Unfortunately, the law does not allow them to be recalled. Gutierrez is a race and ethnic pimp; he is brazenly and eagerly in support of any agenda that favors or benefits hispanics, and he is well known in the Chicago area as putting hispanic causes above any interests of the United States.
The Republicrats want REALLY interesting times....
And guess what? They are going to stick HR45 and other gun control legislation to this or another bill that will pass with “Bipartisan” support.
I have some issues with this whole 12 million illegal immigrant number. How did they arrive at this and what if it’s actually two or three times more?
The pathway to citizenship is back across the Rio Grande and standing in line like everyone else.
Humane treatment in the prisons is guaranteed by the 6th Amendment, it needs no further enhancement.
Unfortunately, the law does not allow them to be recalled.
Law? Who needs laws.
