No matter how much the 'grassroots' whine and complain, they typically return most incumbents to Washington.
Heck, many even swallowed their integrity and pulled the level for McCain -- then rationalized that it was actually 'for Palin'.
The point is:
Incumbents play the numbers. Without some serious scandal or some severe breach of their vows to represent their constituents, they will probably get re-elected -- even if they vote for/against a few major issues.
Conservatives need to decide: Are you conservative republicans or conservatives in the republican party? They aren't the same thing. The party throws you a bone, occasionally, and keeps doing the same things. If you vote for the same, don't expect a different result.
