If I was the father, they'd be met at the door with copper clad birth announcements.
I have mixed feelings...The child needs protecting, and the parents needs to be honored...this is a tough one...
I suggest there are several English social workers who are not bright enough to marry. Do they really want to go there?
#1. Get out of Scotland.
#2. Marry the father.
#3. Have the baby.
I wonder what the social workers would have to say if they went to Vegas, got married and had their baby?
Where does it say she’s a “retard” as you put it. She appears to have some learning problems, maybe, so I hope you are being sarcastic when you call her a retard. If not it is you that is sick.
As far as being unmarried, that’s unfortunate, but she was trying to do the right thing and get married.
The part that is sick, is that the government is stealing her baby.
>>Which part?
The part about a retard making babies at age 17?
The part about her being unmarried?
Or the part about the social workers steeling her baby?<<
Um, I hope you just missed the sarcasm tag on this.
1. Unplanned pregnancies happen all the time. The people with moral character then marry and raise their baby. This couple wanted to do that. As for the girl being a “retard” there is nothing about the mental capacity of the father and who wants a government to judge our mental state anyway.
2. The state stopped the marriage.
3. It’s spelled “stealing”
I sense that there are chapters in this story that we’re not familiar with.
“Last year I volunteered to help disabled children at my local primary school,” she says, “I have friends, a family who supports me and a fiance who loves me. I do everything for myself.”
.........
She is more articulate than most of the US presidential candidates - I think the social workers are retarded.
Also, what of the father’s rights - he is being denied the marriage so this is a double outrage.
This is taking place is Britain.
This is a better situation than exists for the 75%+ of babies born in most American inner cities.
Close, but I think actually Scotland. Actually, I’m not sure, is Scotland considered part of “Britain”?
Careful who you post to
Unless the writer, sympathetic to this couple’s plight, made their quotes sound more intelligent than they really were, both the dad and the mom sound perfectly fine to me. They’ve got an apartment, they’ve got 40 friends they invited to their wedding, the woman does volunteer work, they love their child, they’re looking forward to his birth, etc. What’s the problem? They sound more intelligent than a lot of people who are allowed to keep their kids here in the States.
Why, you gonna shoot me?
