Funny you never hear about Social Workers taking babies from hood rats.
It sounds to me as if the father and mother are decent, upstanding people and the social workers ought to be sent to a school for the mentally retarded. Or fired and forced to do productive work of some kind.
Social workers have decided someone is not bright enough to marry or raise children? These are social workers; possibly the stupidest bunch of so-called professionals on the planet. They make day laborers look like geniuses. If you sit still long enough at a university someone will give you an MSW.
Thanks for the clarification. Wasn’t sure. I did want to fully clarify where this was taking place because some posters were implying this was taking place in the US and that “moving to another state” was a option.

The father seems quite capable. That should be sufficient to allow them the opportunity to love their child in their own home that they have already occupied.
I went to school with a girl who had parents that were both deaf. They weren’t that smart, but Lynne turned out great. I have another playmate when I was young who’s father was very slow from being gassed in one of the wars overseas. The wife picked up the slack for the family. This is a cruel practice and should be protested against.
So, this young woman is quite alright to be “running around loose” i.e. not confined due to her supposed mental limitations, but she’s not competent enough to fully exercise her “rights” as a British Subject ?
Of course, the guy in this equation might be a little on the slow/pervy side himself.
I’d have to hear the girl articulate something to make a determination.

Get on a train and head to Germany or France where they don’t know you and come back in a year! Just get out of the UK now while you still can.
Time to leave Scotland. Their best best, if they remain in Europe, is to head to eastern Europe, likely Poland, and seek the protection of the Catholic church. While these baby-grabbing social workers might demand that Poland return them, they have likely never experienced Poles when they get a severe case of the righteous stubborns.
They would have better luck trying to dislodge Gibraltar with a crowbar.
