I agree. FWIW, the Mirror is an extremely left-wing British tabloid; I take everything they print with several grains of salt.

It those are exact quotes attributed to her, it doesn’t sound as if she’s all that intellectually disabled.
Is there now a minimum IQ to be a parent? What might it be? Do people with 140 IQs have to take a test to show they understand the implications of marriage ? Don’t we all know people with genius level IQs who make horrible parents?

Thanks for the update. I remember first reading about this around the time their marriage was forcibly canceled.
I wish them the best of luck, but it sounds pretty bleak.

There's nothing tough about it. The parents are attempting to Do The Right Thing for their baby and are being thwarted by bureaucrats. What do you think they should have done, had an abortion?

However, Kerry, who is still waiting to undergo an official psychological assessment, says her learning difficulties are not as severe as Fife Council make out.
"Last year I volunteered to help disabled children at my local primary school," she says, "I have friends, a family who supports me and a fiance who loves me. I do everything for myself."
