Wonder if this information is getting through to the troops. Imagaine being in the field and knowing that your CINC is spending all his time at fund-raisers or working on health “reform.”

I knew the scoop as a “grunt” in Viet Nam in 1972. Believe me, the troops know what’s going on.

Most of us voted via absentee ballott for Nixon.

The American people had better appreciate our “grunts” or the “grunts” are going to tell the American people to go to hell.

Yes, it does. Won’t elaborate, but it does. And the term “frustrated” doesn’t come close to how angry the troops on the ground and my vet buddies are getting.

Amazing. Even retired Generals are speaking anonymously, for “fear of reprisals from the White House”.

What sort of a gangster leadership are we living under?

Obama is so far in over his head he does not know up from down, left from right, or back from front. This girlie man is one mass of confusion.

This is such crap. In America, the military lives in the same world everyone else does. Zero does not have what it takes to be CIC.Period. This hack “reporter” defends him with an anonymous quote —almost certainly fabricated by her—suggesting that military people who criticize Zero's dallying are out of touch with America. DOES SHE REALLY THINK SHE IS FOOLING ANYONE? No wonder the Times is going out of business.

The Times is actually reporting this?? They must think Bush is still president.

While 0 goes to 22 fund raisers and has all those elegant concerts and stuff at the White House, the troops wait.

What we have is a cadre of immature dogmatic sycophants taking this nation down the rat hole because of their myopic vision of the American people’s destiny.

Why was 0ba-Mao not prepared with a policy before his hand picked General submitted a report? He had months to have a plan for any potential direction Gen. McChrystal’s report might go. There were only a handful of possibilities.

He had 2 1/2 hours to talk to Maddow and Olberman but can’t find the time to talk to SecDef Gates.

There's no deliberation, just dithering.

Well I hope the grunts only tell half the American people and our political ‘leadership’ to go to hell.

HALF or more of the US population are firmly behind the grunts and their mission.

Is it true that the president's scheduled priorities for these three matters are as follows?

1. November campaigning (to revive, maintain, expand personal political support);
2. Oslo Nobel Peace prize presentation and speech (December, 2009, to protect personal,reputational interests);
3. Afghanistan operational strategy announcement (January, 2010, security needs affecting Afghanistan, 27 involved nations and important USA national security interests).
