Another interesting race to watch is the Atlanta mayor election. A white candidate, Mary Norwood, is running against two black candidates. A poll taken last week shows Norwood getting 30% of the black vote.
If Norwood wins it would be amazing since Atlanta has had a black mayor for 30 years.
And its crime rates reflect the 30 years.
Some black politicians got in trouble for saying on audio that blacks needed to consolidate their votes to keep the office and to keep the white women out. I think there may be some backlash from embarrassed fair minded black people. At least, I hopey & changy.
