We should reach out to Democrats... to slap their lying drooling faces! ( And a boot to the head for RINO's )

“Up here they do need the salt.”

I bet they would rather have jobs and food.

“So, no, it is not an effective form of protest, just more harmless Internet comedy awkwardly manifesting itself in the real world.”

Awkward? Dumb? A Bangor newspaper ran an article on it, once again highlighting Snowe's disconnect from conservative Republicans.

And why bother with political activism if you can't mix a little comedy into it now and then?

>> However, Snowe ignores Conservatives at her own peril. <<

Snowe's been a thorn in the side of conservatives constantly for the past 14 years and nobody lifts a finger to oppose her. She always faces only token "opposition" in the primary or (more often) none at all. In fact, a whole bunch of conservatives here on FR defending her RINO butt the last she was up for re-election by saying she's "the best can we get in a blue state" and that "we should only focus on our red states".

Sadly, Snowe can screw over conservatives with impunity and she knows it.

Sen. Snowe, for her part, was unfazed by the white crystalline substance that found its way to her Maine office.

“Everyone has their own prerogative,” she said. “I have a job to do, and I choose to focus on doing that job.”

Snowe said that she had not seen any rock salt in any of her offices.

I have a suggestion for a more "noticeable" delivery method for the rock salt. However, I will refrain from posting it.

Maine’s GOP makes the Massachusetts GOP look alive and well by comparison.

When is the last time one of these RINO’s or DIABLO’s ever made the suggestion that democrats should open up to diverse ideas?

“If the Republican Party does not open up to diverse ideas, they may see more senators...leaving the party.”

Well, then, they won't be Republicans then, will they?

So we won't vote for them then, will we?

And even a dumb ass democratic knows a turncoat when they see one.

Even if they have had a hard time seeing the traitorous tendencies of the idiot in the White House.

Not sure what you're referring to. Overall, Massachusetts is much more heavily Dem than Maine. In Massachusetts it's essentially a one party state, with the only Republican officials being isolated token “opposition” (sometimes I wonder if the state GOP convention is held in a phone booth). In Maine, the Dems currently dominate, but until the Dem landslides of 2006 and 2008 it has usually been pretty closely divided between the two parties there. Maine Republicans are now in the minority throughout the state, but still have a large number of elected officials in government.

Maine Legislature
Maine House: 95D, 56R
Maine Senate: 20D, 15R (was 18D, 17R during the last session)

vs.

Mass. Legislature
Mass. House 143D, 16R
Mass. Senate 35D, 5R

Yeah, as Billy said, that’s not so. In fact, in the prior period (2007-08), the ME GOP had the largest percentage of officeholders of any state in New England (were one seat away from control of the Senate, we lost two last year, but we could get three in a good year, and next year is open for the Governorship). NH reclaimed the highest percentage of Republicans in the legislature for this period (2009-10), although we’re also 3 seats away from winning the Senate and 21 seats away from getting the House (we reclaimed 19 following our loss of it in ‘06).
