Byrd could be an ally in stopping Obamacare. He killed Hillarycare 16 years ago. He just may have an inclination to do it again.

He knows Obamacare won’t pay for him to have hot nurses tending to him.

I believe Sen. Byrd is a constitutional scholar and that could explain why he is voting this way.

or that every patient in America who needs any sort of hospitalization must be flown in to the massive new Robert C. Byrd Memorial National Medical Complex, located on a remote mountaintop somewhere between Hinton and Beckley, West Virginia

There’s word that the guy that replaced bammy in the Senate won’t vote because he’s miffed about not being able to keep the seat.

If that's the case, he'd believe in a solid line Conservative platform.

Prediction: all of a sudden the Dems are going to notice that this old SOB was in the Klan, and attacking him for it.

Well, we here at FR despised the old Eminent Cyclops before it was cool...

Let's hope the ole reprobate hangs on through the cap and trade voting too - I believe he, deep in coal country, is also against that.

Keep the Obama “team” away from him. They may try to “ration” his care before the vote.

I think you're right.

He's spoken up before when Obama was destroying the Constitutional balance of power by usurping the role of the Senate and concentrating it in the White House.

Even if all he cares about is Senate power, he's got the Constitutional part right.

Sen. Byrd was also the one who stopped the 2001-2002 attempt to pass amnesty for illegals by using a legal ‘technicality’.

Will State Media pundits call all those defecting Democrats, Mavericks and lavish praise upon them like they all did when Snowe voted with the Democrats in committee?
