In general, I understand and approve of DUI laws. Drunks in motor vehicles pose an immediate danger to ordinary citizens. What possible purpose is served by prosecuting this guy though? Has there been a series of La-Z-Boy v. pedestrian collisions where the pedestrian was injured by the impact from a 3 mph easy chair? Or is this just revenue generation for a bunch of losers who would rather hassle a harmless guy with a sense of humor than go after real criminals who do pose a danger to society?

I guess he should have made it a loveseat so he could have a designated driver - otherwise it seemed like a good plan...
