A White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans.
“It’s a mistake,” said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations.”
Altmire was talking about the Obama administration’s efforts to undercut Fox News. But he said his remarks applied just the same to White House efforts to marginalize the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful business lobby targeted for its opposition to climate change legislation.
“There’s no reason to gratuitously piss off all those companies,” added another Democrat, Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia. “The Chamber isn’t an opponent.”

They worry because they see themselves as the target of conservative and moderate voters in their district. I pity them not.
Yes, Congressman Moron, it is. To the radical communist, ANYONE who isn't with dear leader at that particular moment is an enemy, not just an opponent, and your ilk will find that out if he ever gets total power.
Eventually, it will come time to make an offer to the moderate Dems: how would you like to cross the aisle en masse?
Of course, the hard-core conservatives will not like this proposal, but it would reduce the Obama administration to impotence. We can worry about what to do next after the next election.
Many of them are more conservative than some of the Republicans we’ve got now, and overall it would be pretty much a wash - except the chairs of all the committees would shift over.
Obama administration will be a lame duck by the end of the year to many mistakes to fast and no answers to problems and democrats know 2010 elections will be a blood bath for them.

It is too bad the GOP in the US congress is afraid of their own shadow. The so called moderates of the GOP are responsible for the downfall of the Republican party. The people of this country are sloppily figuring out the what the left wants for this country will destroy it as the economic and military superpower in once was.
The democrats feel they must pass a health care bill. To them even a terrible bill is better than no bill when NO health care bill is better than a poor one. The people of this country did not want a total overhaul of the health care system. Adding illegal aliens to the system will bring about the demise of this country at even a faster pace. Obama says illegal aliens will not be covered under this bill. He does not tell the whole truth. He does not say that he will not grant them amnesty. He will add them to the health care system by making granting them amnesty and making the legal.
Big government will destroy this country, reducing it to socialist russia model. Obama is on the course to unilaterally disarm the US both militarily and economically.
