Who really believes that this is going anywhere as long as Demonrats are in charge of all branches of government except the one that can't drive an investigation?
I'll believe that there is justice in America when Barney & Chris & Franklin are frog-marched out of the Capitol.

I doubt there is any evidence that “the Countrywide files have been purged.” Why would Bank of America purge the files? Bank of America did not own Countrywide when these loans were made, the loans were not illegal (maybe unethical, but not illegal), and Bank of America’s employees would have more to lose from discovery of a purging than from discovery of more evidence that Chris Dodd was unethical.

They sure gave Countrywide enough time to shred any files pertaining to Dodd, didn’t they?

documents relating to a wide range of government employees including members of the executive branch, House members and staffers, officers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and employees of state and local governments. Senators will not be included in the Houses investigation. something really smells here, but like Charlie Rangle I hold little hope for accountability
