How Climate Change Legislation Works [simple picture]

This cartoon is designed to break the commitment of working-class Americans (the Democrats' traditional base) to their leaders. It shows the Obama Democrats colluding with "fat cat" corporations at the expense of the people. We doubt that people who have to work eight or more hours a day to put food on the table and send their children to college will be very happy about this. Note that:

(1) Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) named J.P. Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs (along with the New York Stock Exchange) as likely beneficiaries of climate change legislation.

(2) Each company raised more than six figures in bundled contributions to elect Obama

General Electric is a ‘green company’ that donated and benefits from Obama. They have also rolled out a very expensive insurance change to coincide with the health care debate. These changes do not affect union workers. This is highly irregular as ‘exempt’ employees have historically received whatever the unions have negotiated. I have suspected this was part of his deal with the president. Last week I was told that our school’s maximum insurance contribution would increase 22% and the superintendent that shared this reported that the insurance companies were acting on pressure from washing not historical data.

Glen Beck had talked about this about 2 weeks ago. His question was why MSNBC sounds like an infomercial for Obama. NBC is owned by GE and one of the higher ups for GE is an advisor to Obama.
