Not surprised. “Child soliders” can be found in many African nations and much of central Asia. I’ve also read accounts of the VC training children to throw grenades or planting bombs in U.S. vehicles.
It’s tragic, but it’s also a fact of life in many parts of the world.
Obama just needs to talk to them.

I think children were being used in combat roles during the Soviet-Afgan Mujahadeen wars of the 1980s.
