Let Them Eat Veal
American Thinker ^ | 10/27/09 | George Joyce

Immanuel Kant once observed that “he who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men.” I thought about Kant when I recently learned that the Obamas had graced their dog ‘Bo’ with a dog house shaped birthday cake made out of veal – that’s right, veal – the most expensive item on many a restaurant menu.

Just quit it! quit attacking Obama because of his veal-shaped doghouse, his excessive golfing, Michelle’s muscle-bound arms, etc.
Criticize him because he is a muslim-sympathizing marxist who hates capitalism and most of our American values.

I’m over 50 yrs old and I don’t think I’ve ever had veal.
Neither have any of my dogs.
Mac n cheese with sliced hot dogs is good.
Man, that there Presidentiating is quite a gig, huh?
I reckon veal is easier to mold than that Kageegoogoo beef or what ever it’s called that they’re always snarfing down on at the WH on weds. nights.
“Bo” was unavailable for comment.

I’m old enough to remember a time in this country when it would have been classless to celebrate the First Pet’s birthday with a birthday cake made of veal. Especially when so much of the country was in horrible shape economically. But evidently, time has passed me by.

Then again, flying around for dates on Broadway, photo-ops over NYC, bringing a chef from Missouri to DC for pizza, and golfing on weekends instead of helping at food banks would have been too much as well.

I sure miss those days.

This cannot possibly true, because if it were, the PETA people who are constantly, completely, totally and unrelentingly hammering me over the fact I enjoy a hamburger now and then would be all over it! I mean, veal, really! They're raised in tiny cages the size of a New York loft, and killed by repeated ineffectual blows to the kneecaps in the most painful way, while they look up at you with sorrowful eyes and beg for their lives. Certainly, if the Anointed One were doing something like this, they would be up in arms. I mean, it was like back when all the NOW chapters banded together and urged that the Democratic President Bill Clinton, a serial rapist and groper of women, an adulterer, a cruel, wicked sociological psychopath be thrown out of office for...

Oh, I'm sorry. Democrat. Should have stopped right there. Move along, nothing to see here.

I thought they killed veals by making them watch MSNBC until their little heads explode in flames. Kind of like a barnyard Hindenburg. Oh, the hugh manatee!

Before they kill the veals, they say really mean things to them and destroy their self esteem. It's true; I read it on the internets.
