And in a healthy person the swine flu is actually quite mild.
"For those of you who doesn't read Swedish. The Swedish article says: ]....there has been reported 5 deaths. But none of them has been linked to the vaccine.'
So, pls stop writing like this.
I'm not particularly pushing the vaccine (most likely won't be taking it myself, though I haven't 100% decided), but making sure of good info is important when dealing with decisions relevant to health.
There is a major question about the efficacy of the SEASONAL flu shot. And the media are now stating that the H1N1 vaccine is made exactly the same as the seasonal flu shot. The question is: does the seasonal shot work at all, and evidence suggests that it does not. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200911/brownlee-h1n1. This is a long article, but it states that the seasonal flu formula each year is a consensus opinion of what strain of flu will occur in the next season. It is a SWAG, because it takes months to manufacture. In recent years, the opinion-makers have missed twice. This means that NO ONE got a flu shot. But, in those years, the death rate was the same as when the population got a valid flu shot. There is absolutely NO evidence that the seasonal flu shot has any effectiveness.
