Radiation would work just fine for those. The bias against treating food with radiation to kill bacteria is simply ridiculous. There are ZERO harmful effects from such processes. The whole "bad radiation" meme is simply scientifically ludicrous. Any chemical reaction products induced in the food by the irradiation are no different from those formed by free radical processes that happen naturally.
I don’t necessarily believe there is anything wrong with radiated food either, but Southern Fish and Oyster, where I buy my oysters almost right off the boat, does not have the capabilities to do that, and I don’t think it’s necessary. According to the article, oysters kill 15 people a year, most of whom I would bet already have underlying health problems.
