You're not a native-born Southron, are you? Mom's Maiden Name, or some other Ancient Family Surname, is frequently Kid's Middle Name. You can end up with some very strange stuff. I haven't heard anybody say a word about it and I've got some VERY red necks in my circle of friends. Salt of the earth.
