Thursday, October 29, 2009 Email to a Friend ShareThisAdvertisement The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 29% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11 (see trends). Thirty-three percent (33%) believe the nation is generally heading in the right direction.
Just 28% believe that some banks are too-big-to-fail. Sixty-four percent (64%) say its better for the economy to let such banks fail.
Fifty-six percent (56%) expect this flu season to be worse than last.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.
Bambi is certainly reducing the ambivalence factor in this country.
The real poll is 47-52% or improving in our direction by a couple of points over the last couple of days.
Of the 47% who approve, only 29% or 62% feel strongly about it.
Note also that the 47% approval is the lowest rate ever, not a new low, just ties for the lowest total approval rate.

Rasmussen has consistently for months now shown obambi with much lower approval ratings than all the other pollsters. How long will it be before obambi & co. declare Rasmussen to be “not a real polling organization” ?
