Representatives of the government of deposed Roberto Micheletti Manuel Zelaya signed late Thursday in this capital an agreement to end the political crisis that took to Honduras in the air for 124 days.

The agreement was signed under heavy pressure from the U.S. government decided to send his top heavy artillery led by the undersecretary of state for Latin America Department of State Thomas Shannon.

Shanonn said Thursday morning that the basis of political agreement were in place and just had no will to sign it.

"We have reached an agreement to end the political impasse," said the lawyer Vilma Morales of the delegation Micheletto, who stressed that the solution to the political crisis was reached in adherence to the Constitution and laws Honduran

The signing was delayed for several hours after the delegation of the deposed Manuel Zelaya gave long and, according to press reports, the deposed president was unwilling to sign.

Minutes before the signing of the agreement, President Roberto Micheletti announced its authorization to sign the document ending the political crisis facing the country since last June 28.

"Tonight I am pleased to announce that a few minutes ago I authorized my negotiating team to sign a final agreement that marks the beginning of the end of the political situation", whereby the return of Manuel Zelaya will be decided by Congress after consulting Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ).

Speaking from Government House, the Honduran president reiterated that "no individual is above the future of Honduras" and that "we can not put personal interests over the collective good of this great nation."

The deal approved by Micheletti contains eight points, including the creation of a coalition government, rejected the amnesty policy, recognition of the elections on 29 November, the creation of a verification commission, a truth commission and the return of Manuel Zelaya decided by the National Congress of the SJC opinion.

"Accepting this proposal represents a significant concession by the government," the president said.

"We have always been firm that is the Supreme Court who should decide on the possible return of Mr. Zelaya. But we also understand that our people are calling to turn the page of our history of these difficult times we live. For this reason I have decided to support this new proposal for a final agreement as soon as possible. "

Micheletti thanked the U.S. delegation to the Organization of American States (OAS) "for their important support mediator" in the political crisis.

The dialogue began in Honduras Guaymuras on 7 October under the auspices of the Organization of American States (OAS), however, was interrupted by the commission Zelaya, who rejected the government proposal Micheletti for the Supreme Court decided the return of the former president.

The commission resumed talks Thursday, a day after the arrival of a high-level commission sent by the United States, who won in two days the agreement that neither the Nobel Peace Prize Oscar Arias, nor the pressures of Hugo Chávez, or international sanctions had made it possible.

Did any of you read the article fully? Honestly?

Honduras has not been thrown under the bus ...

Re-Read the article!

Elections are 4 weeks away and will happen ...

Mr Zelaya is not running in the elections, nor does the article say ANYTHING about him returning to power IMMEDIATELY ...

His fate rests in the hands of some of the same people who kicked him out of office in the first place.

This is a big win for the people of Honduras and a big loss for Obama. Only a narcissist politician would try to spin this as a political victory for Zedeya.

I would never have believed I could hate my own government this much. You Hondurans have my deepest sympathy and shared anger at our thugs in office.

If Z is declared king again, will the US force him to hold elections if he doesn’t, or the State dept will claim that they “do not interfere in affair of sovereign countries.”

Nothing surprises me anymore.

A woman wrote in to my newspaper yesterday about Fox News. She said ‘according to polls, Fox is at the very bottom, after ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC’ ! She did not cite WHICH poll.

Can’t wait to see the replies.

.

She was planting bogus info on polls obviously

Some of that BS sticks

Many that read her BS will never research or fact-check it

Sort of like:

“Over a million jobs created!” - VP Biden

Or:

“Created or SAVED!”

[Fantasy Island jobs?]

(Over 3.5 million jobs lost under Obama so far!)

“Don’t you dare criticize Obama! We loves him!”

It was in VIEWPOINTS, short little blurbs. Hard to know about her, if she saw it on an alphabet channel she would believe it.

If she gets on the computer and sees polls, then she has seen ‘other’ polls and is planting bogus info.

They did have an article in my paper about the ‘jobs saved’ info being way off, and not correct. That was good to see.

Push polls:

35% democrats
20% Republicans
30% Independents
15% No Opinion

Typical lib media sampling

[Push Polls]

Yes, but where are they done, and by whom? On the streets, by telephone or online? Then were are they publicized?

I've never been a poll watcher so don't know.
