Sanchez sisters eyed by House ethics panel for alleged collusion (Democrats)
Washington Post ^ | October 30, 2009 | Scott Higham and Alice Crites

A document from the House ethics committee lists an examination into whether the chamber's rules were violated when Rep. Linda T. Sanchez put three legislative aides to her fellow-congresswoman sister on her payroll after an embezzlement scheme had left Rep. Loretta Sanchez's office short of funds.

The document, a July tracking report obtained by The Washington Post, says that the sisters, both California Democrats, "shared transferred staff from one office to another after embezzlement," and that a meeting between lawyers for the ethics committee and the congresswomen had taken place June 1. The document also says that lawyers for the congresswomen had submitted a letter with "additional information" on June 19.

On May 19, the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call reported that the ethics committee was examining the employee transfer. The paper reported that the panel was investigating an agreement in which Linda Sanchez put three aides from her sister's office on her payroll in 2006 shortly after discovering that one of Loretta Sanchez's employees had stolen money from the office. That employee, Caroline Valdez, later pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to charges that she embezzled from $5,000 to $10,000 from the office.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find that every California Dem in the House and Senate has skeletons in their closets. California is one big, corrupt Democrat mess!

If this is true there is a posibility of a Republican taking over Loretta’s seat. She is in Orange County California and she does not have that big of a dimoKKKRAT margin.

The Sanchez sisters are a direct result of Newt stabbing B-1 Bob Dornan in the back.

IIRC, Loretta Sanchez is the one who displaced Bob Dornan, and Dornan proved later that many illegals voted in that election.
Nothing was done about it, and I suspect that voters rolls were NOT purged, either.

Long ago she ran against Bob Dornan in an R Primary and lost. She used her married name ‘Loretta Brixey’. She then changed affiliations and ran as a D, as Loretta Sanchez, her maiden name. That’s how she first won. Her sister ran on her coattails in a nearby district and won, too. These people have no core.

3 employees earn much more than $10,000 in Washington, DC.

This is just the tip of an iceberg, IMO.

California is one big, corrupt Democrat mess!

Not so....we have some very fine Republican Reps. - Duncan Hunter Snr. and Jr. and the Rep from my district - Dana Rohbacher, to mention but a few.

Also, in case you have forgotten, California is the home of Free Republic.

And the weather is lovely as well!

Well, I can’t really blame Loretta, the replacement for B-1 Bob, except she probably approved the hiring, and she ain’t B-1 Bob, besides being a democrat and there were a whole bunch of accusations of voter fraud during her election process. But then there weren’t any convictions, so I really can’t blame her for that, but what has she done for or to CA? I guess CA gets what it deserves and that is good enough for me.

Isn’t she the one that changed her last name to win the race which minorities seem so fond of doing.

Loretta deserves credit for being among the leaders in bringing the worst of Mexican political practices and corruption to southern California. She and the sister should be behind bars. Bob Dornan got screwed, and his fellow Republicans did squat about it, even when they were in the majority. And of course the rolls were not purged. The illegals have kept her in office.

Just moved after 19 years in California. Yes, it is beautiful and the weather is lovely. Unfortunately it has become very hostile to business. Businesses are fleeing to Arizona and Nevada. When I left, many of my friends said they wouldn’t be long behind. Good luck to you. Our California dream turned sour and we fled. (glad FR is thriving!)

Have to agree with you about the business climate in Cal. I’ve been in business here for 26 years and the last few have been very trying.

B-1 Bob, a particular hero of mine, was always shaky on illegal immigration; shaky that is, until a Mexican stole his job!

Ah yes, how well I remember every question asked of Old B-1 Bob being answered by long dissertations upon the ballistics of the .30-06 as fired from the Garand, interspersed with references to the performance envelope of the F-86. I used to listen to him for hours!

It is fitting that this latest Sanchez news breaks on Halloween, as Loretta was elected by dead Mexicans, totally imaginary Mexicans, illegal alien Mexicans, and their numerous relatives, all living at entirely fictitious addresses. I am sorry that Newt and the other Big Kahunas of the GOP did not find this "Night of the Living Dead Voters" movie at all interesting.

Please don't think that I am a racist. I am all for Mexican sister teams, owning several 8-track cassettes of "Las Hermanas Padilla." But them Sanchez cuties, even though they don't look too bad, can't sing worth a lick!
