PART D—COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH SEC. 1181. (a) CENTER FOR COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH ESTABLISHED.—

(1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall establish within the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality a Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research (in this section referred to as the ‘Center’) to conduct, support, and synthesize research (including research conducted or supported under section 1013 of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003) with respect to the outcomes, effectiveness, and appropriateness of health care services and procedures in order to identify the manner in which diseases, disorders, and other health conditions can most effectively and appropriately be prevented, diagnosed, treated, and managed clinically.

If it’s used the way the bureaucrats want, and the way it’s been used in England to establish the “NICE” board, it will help establish a cookbook which will give programmed treatments for specific diagnoses, so that non-physicians in government can give canned prescriptions for the treatment of various illnesses in spite of what patients’ doctors may think they should have......

You’re correct. And any physician who dares to suggest a different type of treatment will be ineligible to receive payment, and perhaps even lose their license to practice medicine.
