Random attack by thugs every 30 seconds as 'stranger assaults' soar in Binge Britain
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | November 1, 2009 | James Slack

Someone is attacked by a complete stranger every 30 seconds in Binge Britain, figures revealed last night.

When Labour came to power, only a third of violent crimes were carried out by an attacker the victim did not know.

That has now jumped to half as random violence - fuelled by alcohol and round the clock opening - has become commonplace.

There were 1,057,000 violent attacks by strangers last year - the equivalent of 2,895 a day or 120 every hour.

Opposition MPs said it was the latest proof the Government's relaxation of licensing laws had failed.

Some 21 per cent of the assaults took place in pubs and a further 34 per cent in the street as town centres became increasingly scarred by alcohol-fuelled violence.

Many of the attacks were carried out by violent women 'ladettes'.

Last month, the Daily Mail revealed that the Government's own figures show the number of women being convicted for murders, vicious assaults and other attacks has rocketed by 81 per cent since 1998.

They are now being convicted at a rate of more than 200 every week.

I will always love Britian, and I know that there are decent people there who will eventually get fed-up to the point that there will be a housecleaning. The blood of the men of Agincourt, El-Alemein and the skies over England must surely still run in their veins. I believe that.

Good thing they got rid of those guns.

Yep, they have saved the lives and jobs of countless murderers, rapists, robbers, child molesters and trash code inspectors.

I’m glad almost every day that my ancestors left there almost three hundred years ago.

I bought a new Ruger LCP 380 gun yesterday to take with me when I go shopping.

Attack me and I'll kill you. PERIOD!

It is so much less stressful to be killed or maimed by an old friend or a neighbor than by a complete stranger.

shot it yet?

I hear those things kick like an army mule. Nice and concealable, though.

I thought about getting the similar KelTec P3-AT, or the P-32.

"...my ancestors left there almost three hundred years ago."

Mine did too (Wales more specifically), probably two days ahead of arrest warrants, but anyway...I've always liked aspects of the parent culture. The literature, the whiskey and the few odd rock bands. I did some work in London a couple of years ago and was very aggravated by the way people would go out of their way to give me a ration of crap about George Bush or Iraq etc. I couldn't get a drink or a meal without that stuff all the time I was there. London is prety screwed up. Nonetheless, I take no pleasure in Britians difficulties, and believe that if she goes down the drain, the world would be much the worse for it. If they could re-kindle their taste for a good bloodletting, we might find them handy in the near future.

"shot it yet?"

Yup, this afternoon. Did just fine.

"I thought about getting the similar KelTec P3-AT, or the P-32."

I did a side by side comparison of the two 380's and the Ruger was smaller (had better lines, IMO) but cost $10.00 more. The weight seemed about the same.
The dealer said that Ruger bought their/that design from KelTec.
My buddy urged me to get the KelTech but I bought the Ruger just because I've had so much success with their 9mm P89 pistol that I've had for years.

BTW, we built our own firing range for this neighborhood.

The buddy(Mike) I mentioned above gave his wife(Linda) an AR-15 for Valentine's Day. Another bubby, in their presence said, "Linda, Mike must really love you to give you an AR-15 for Valentine's day". She shot back with a coy smile, "He just got me what I asked for."

Frankly, we're 'gearing-up' around here for the coming problems.

I just sold a P89 to my brother-in-law, on the condition that if he ever went to sell it, I got dibs. It’s his first gun. I also have a P90 .45 that looks and feels identical to the P89.

I’m waiting on a Mossberg shotgun that should be arriving Monday. Then, when I pick that up, I’m ordering a Bersa Thunder Pro HC 9mm for later in the week. Plus, getting quotes on a couple more guns for friends of mine.

It’s the fun way to prepare for the zombie comet that’s undoubtedly coming in 2012. Or, a tragic Obama re-election. Whichever.

I’m getting stocked up too. I need more ammo, though. Always need more ammo! A good sign, though, is that I was able to buy 200 rounds of 9mm at Wal-Mart last weekend. Can’t remember the last time they had any in stock.

The madness is starting to subside. Time for Obama to start talking about gun legislation again...

My friend Mike, went to the gun show with me yesterday and he bought a Springfield Armory .45. We shot it today too...smoothe shooting and he's real satisfied.

I was just to the range today firing my S&W .32 and Colt .380 Automatic. I think distributing these guns throughout the civilized population on the island would go a long way to stem the problems with crime they’re having.

You make a good point, but Great Britain’s demographics have changed over the past few generations.

Yea. An armed society is a polite society.

Yes, that point, up with which they shall no longer put.

Nicely stated, my FRiend. I believe that, as well.

My dad has a Springfield .45. Nice. He made a set of custom grips for it...Cherry with Walnut inlay, and the rim of a .45 cartridge in the middle.

Man, do I love guns.
