The selling point for the national ID will be to fight terrorism, screen non-citizens, fight crime, etc., but sadly, its real purpose will be to control and keep track of citizens.
In the Information Age, there are almost limitless ways to keep track of and control citizens without ID. Most people have no idea. You could sit down all day and make up an exhaustive list and you would only scratch the surface of what is possible.
Some have even suggested that some of the seemingly “fluff” Facebook quizzes are really used for personality profiling by the Government.
Never let someone give you something with RFID technology. Of course, it might be woven into the fabric of your clothes, so you’d never know.
