In the “age of obama”,

what is “presidential”?

Are you saying people won’t elect a “non-presidential” person?

Oh, clearly they will ... the question is, though: when the general public thinks a candidate is a poor imitation of Tina Fey, becoming "presidential" is the only way you're going to escape the taint.

"Presidential" in Sarah Palin's case would involve demonstrating that she is an intellectually serious person who is able to formulate, articulate, and carry out serious policies on a very broad range of issues.

She gave up her best chance to do that when she resigned as governor. Facebook postings and speeches to party faithful are a mighty poor substitute for actual political leadership.

She's got her work cut out for her, and stuff like this isn't going to help.

Good question. "presidential" is sitting around in an elitist bar in San Francisco, insulting hard-working Americans because they believe in country, the Constitution, God, and family.

That's why I find Sarah Palin to be a breath of fresh air. It even comes across in her facebook notes - she's not talking down to anyone, she's talking right to us. (A lot like Reagan did, the last politician in my memory that felt like he was in my living room, talking right to me when he was on TV).
