It's a great day to be a conservative in Virginia. And, it's even more fun to watch the rats abandon their sinking ship. Both of the state's Democratic Senators, Mark Warner and Jim Webb, have been absent from the campaign trail over the past 4-5 days, trying to avoid the train wreck that is their party's ticket.

By comparison, my precinct in Northern VA is heavily D. When the polls opened, there was no traffic to speak of, nor any line. Pubbies may do well up here today.

Will it be enough to offset the fraud of ACORN?
I hope so

Well, only the Mayor and one city council position on my ballot down here in NC today - but I still voted.

Slow, Slow day in my neck of NC.

Little hotter up there in Wake county for the school board positions - bussing vs no bussing.

Surely such activity as intimidation at a polling place is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. Where is the FBI? How did this happen?

Way too early to tell, folks. It’s going to be a long day, just like a year ago.

Don’t rest on your laurels.

Hound everyone you know to get out and VOTE AGAINST LEFTISTS.

We should try to somehow foment grassroots Democrat disillusionment in VA with OBAMA for throwing their local guy under the bus and not standing with them on principle even if an uphill battle. Yes, call it "Operation Backbite."

A lot of divisions and fissures can be driven within the ranks of the rats, in my opinion, this year and next. It will weaken Obama in some key, pivotal states even further that he will need in 2012 in his Electoral College column. There is no way in HECK that Obama could take Virginia from Palin in 2012, but it is a long, tough road. Now is the time to start peddling that chaos and disatisfaction on their side, IMHO. This will discourage them and force their GOTV numbers even more within their key constituencies, who were JAZZED about Obamba in 2008.

say a prayer for Chris Christie and Doug Hoffman.

I think Hoffman will win handily.
Please everyone pray really hard for Chris Christie to win.

As Judge Napolitano said this morning, corzine will not stay on as governor if he wins.
Corzine is planning to take a post with bambi...

My friend, we got it easy here in Tokyo, Japan. All the fun and numbers roll in around late morning our time Wednesday, right during our coffee breaks and during the lunch hour! Then we head for Ginza or Yurakucho in the evening to celebrate with some well-deserved Kirin beers! ;-)

I’m in Lee County, NC and I was 28th to vote in my precinct at about 7:10 am. Mayor, two city council seats and a confidence/no confidence vote on the sales tax surcharge on the ballot. Slow and steady.

When the polls opened, there was no traffic to speak of,

As Rush says, fourth-generation democrat parasite voters don't even wake up until noon.

stickers. I only saw one car with a Deeds bumper stickers
.....next to about 3 stickers for Dear Leader.

Old Dominion back in the GOP column

With the state going Democrat in the election and two Democratic Senators, Virginia has a long way to go til it can be called a red state again.

How I DO hope they have exit polling this time, showing Obama voters (Democrats and Independents) from 2008 going with the Republicans in 2009, because they are disillusioned with Obama and want to send a message. I am sure there is quite a chunk of those people out there today as we speak. This story really needs to get out, if it occurs. I would imagine FOX NEWS to be the only voter analysis media outlet to report on such a thing. Jeff Whatshisface over at CNN would keep his mouth completely shut if they had such widespread indications at the polls today.
