Russia 'simulates' nuclear attack on Poland (Hope-N-Change for Eastern Europe)

Russia has provoked outrage in Poland by simulating an air and sea attack on the country during military exercises.

The armed forces are said to have carried out "war games" in which nuclear missiles were fired and troops practised an amphibious landing on the country's coast.

Documents obtained by Wprost, one of Poland's leading news magazines, said the exercise was carried out in conjunction with soldiers from Belarus.

The manoeuvres are thought to have been held in September and involved about 13,000 Russian and Belarusian troops.

Poland, which has strained relations with both countries, was cast as the "potential aggressor".

The documents state the exercises, code-named "West", were officially classified as "defensive" but many of the operations appeared to have an offensive nature.

The Russian air force practised using weapons from its nuclear arsenal, while in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, which neighbours Poland, Red Army forces stormed a "Polish" beach and attacked a gas pipeline.

The operation also involved the simulated suppression of an uprising by a national minority in Belarus – the country has a significant Polish population which has a strained relationship with authoritarian government of Belarus.

No kidding.

Meanwhile, Russian submarines are patrolling American coasts.

The Russians know that the current administration is a bunch of weak, do-nothing cowards.

That is why they are flexing their muscles and probing our Allies.

They know they can get away with lots of things when America doesn't have adults in charge.

Too bad the current administration can't treat the enemies of this country with the same intensity that they apply to the patriots.

But Russia was supposed to be our and Poland's friend when Neville Obama surrendered the planned missile defense base in Poland. How do you say "Punked" in Russian?

Provocative to the extreme. Out of all of the countries they could nuke, they pick Poland. It’s a message to Obama: “You lose!”

That would mean giving East Prussia and Silesia back to Germany and West Ukraine and Vilnius back to Poland.

I remember in my days in a Pershing Missile firing battalion, we simulated nuclear attacks on Poland all the time. We never targeted Russia, because they could shoot back. Of course our targets were Russian military assets in Poland, but that’s little comfort to the Poles.

The Poles recently released the results of a Warsaw Pact war game simulating a war in Europe. Every country that did not have nuclear weapons was the recipient of a nuclear attack. Every country that had nuclear weapons was spared such an attack.

Attacked: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Germany, both flavors, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, (not sure about Luxembough), Spain. Not attacked: France, England and, iirc, Switzerland.

Well Putin can make anyone his bitch now. I don’t think there is a single Head of State with the cajones to even match him right now and that is the scary part.
