New York is fast becoming just another morally and economically depraved blue state and the people love to have it so.

So is this why the RAT won? I'm serious. I want to know WHY the RAT won.

I'm serious. I want to know WHY the RAT won.

As stated, several reasons came into play:

1) Uninformed voters: Some people reflexively pulled the lever for the person with the "R" next to their name; Scouzzafava was still on the ballot

2) Absentee ballots: Any vote via absentee ballot posted before the 31st for Scouzafava by a person that would have switched their vote to Hoffman was rendered null and void when she dropped out so late. I would say they were completely disenfranchised.

3) Any liberal with any sense of intellectual honesty (I know they are rare; they do exist, though) who backed Scouzzafava, for whatever reason, would have switched to Owens, after the RINO dropped out. Add all those up and you have a DEM win. I think it is good. Let the people of NY23 see what a true liberal will do on their behalf. let them suffer the consequences; just like the rest of the country.

I think it is OK that the RAT won, this time.

Why?

As I said last night,

This particular election served as a WARNING NOTICE.

A warning to the GOP

AND

A warning to those who would vote the partyline

AND

A warning to the rest of the nation about parties winning & losing.

Thousands, perhaps millions have learned a valuable lesson of how low the GOP will go to win a seat. A win for the “party” and a loss for America.

Why the RAT won... one factor might be that Scozza threw her endorsement to Owens, including her union affiliations, then painted Hoffman as waaay right. Next she was still on the ballot and scarfed up a critical 5% of the votes. Next, possibly, Owens made a fair case that Hoffman was “too conservative” for New York... which might be true. A NY republican is very different from a republican in say Va or Alabama. Since Scozza dropped out so close to the election, there was little time for Hoffman to woo her supporters. And perhaps there was case made that “outsiders” need to stay out of NY elections. That’s my opinion.

The Rat won because the GOP establishment will do anything except nominate a conservative. There was no primary election, Scuzziface was selected, not elected,(sorry, couldn't help it)over several conservative candidate hopefuls, Hoffman being one of them. Hoffman ran on the conservative ticket. The GOP "endorsed" and supported Scuzziface with money and ads. Giving her 900,000 bucks to help her. They ran ads against Hoffman, not against the Rat owens, but against the other Republican(Hoffman is a republican, he ran on the conservative ticket because of the GOP BS)then, after the absentee ballots were all in, Scuzziface drops out of the race, endorses the Rat and shows the GOP what a bunch of jerks they were for supporting her.

Hoffman went from a distant 3rd to almost winning, and if he had held off conceding until absentees and the paper ballots from several precincts had been counted, he might have won by a point or lost by only 1 point instead of 3.

This is a victory for conservatives, we drove the left wing RINO out of the race, the rat owens will only govern until 2010 elections at which time we can get rid of him completely.

Everyone is concerned about this race, when the truth of the matter is NJ WAS THE BIG RACE AND WE WON!!!

It is too bad about NY23 but NJ was much more important in the long run. The rats will spin the loss in NY23 but the fact is they know it was a loss for them in the long run and coupled with NJ and VA the blue dogs must be shaking in their boots this morning.
