When I was in El Paso, a mexican worker at a 7-11 told me to stay out of Juarez. When Mexican are telling Gringos to stay out, I tend to listen.

Yep. It's a shame too because I've had good times in both Juarez and Tijuana (a long, long time ago). Now I live in San Diego which is (along with El Paso) one of the safest big cities in America but no way will I travel a mere 15 miles south to the border where it is quite literally a war zone.
