I wonder if they have a secret handshake?

Based on what some of them have said about toilet paper, I'd guess not.

Good, they can’t teach their wacky religion in our public schools anymore. We can raise heck if they start preaching their religion in any public meetings since we are not all beleivers.

I think Rush Limbaugh was the first to correctly identify modern “environmentalism” as a form of religion. He should feel vindicated.

No thanks, I prefer more legitimate religions like scientology and Easter Island monolith worship.

Nah, it wasn’t Rush it was Michael Crichton. The guy who wrote Jurrassic Park, State Of Fear etc. Michael Crichton wrote an essay on how he observed that you can never take out religion from human society as observed through human history. It will come in many forms and the modern version is Environmentalism which map Judeo-Christian religion perfectly. Theres the Garden Of Eden and man being energy sinners who has fallen from grace and to reach heaven we need to reach energy sustainablity

I am happy that they at the end acknowledge this fact. For too long, the concept of ‘religion’ has been based on Judeo-Christianity with its good and bad consequences. Many focus only on the bad side. By expanding the concept, the analysis of ‘religious people’ and ‘religion’ should also include the problem created by these new religions.
