When comparing men and women with equal UNINTERRUPTED time in the work force, doing the same job, women are paid slightly more.
“Earn” is the word. Women aren’t paid less, they earn less because they work less. I’ve written LOEs to local papers explaining it, and added that, if women would truly work for 20-25% less, shouldn’t we see local sawmills and strip mines hiring female-only crews, to save on payroll?
