I have heard that the supply problem was caused by Obama's Health & Human Services czar {Sebielius?] insisting that the vaccine be prepared in individual syringes rather than the more traditional multiple doses in a vial that the Dr. or hospital withdraw in a syringe for each individual.

The individual syringes are a much more difficult production process - thus the low yields out of the producing labs. Thats why its late.

Here's the real reason why there's a shortage : the vaccine is made in eggs, and they're getting fewer doses per egg than they expected.
