Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan never served a tour of duty in Iraq. But the psychiatrist worked inside two places that have seen the terrible fallout from the war – first Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in the nation's capital, and lately at Fort Hood, the giant Central Texas base.
He dealt with some of the invisible wounds from the conflict. He counseled soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder, perhaps getting a preview of the horrors of war that he had yet to see.
But Hasan was, in many ways, very different from the soldiers and family members who had direct experience with the pain and suffering of war. He'd served in the Army for several years but had not been deployed overseas. Unmarried, he hadn't experienced the stress of soldiers whose family life had been interrupted by long deployments that put them in harm's way.
His religion, too, set him apart. He told relatives a few years ago that he was having second thoughts about his military career because other soldiers had harassed him because of his Muslim faith. More recently, he had expressed misgivings about being sent to Iraq or Afghanistan.

He didn’t want to shoot other Muslims in Iraq or Afghanistan, but he had no problem shooting 43 Americans.
It’s obvious whose side he was on. How can anyone spin this as anything other than a freelance terrorist? A Muslim who is more loyal to the Ummah than to America, and who undertook his own personal jihad?
His cousin if full of it and, frankly, I now wonder about the whole Hasan family after his comments. People who worked with him knew of his feelings about Islam and America and knew of his glee at American casualties. And his family did not know? I simply don’t believe it.
He was a Major, not some Sgt. whose wife was fooling around on him while he was deployed.
Just another unexplainable case of SJS.

And the MSM and the govt will assure us, this has nothing to do with terrorism.
I know personally at least one lefty who very likely stayed up half the night last night carefully crafting all sorts of convoluted rationalizations why absolutely nothing that this guy did is his own fault.
I think I’ll skip talking to her over the holidays. I don’t deal well with crazy people.

His entire life has been schizoid ... always being Muslim and living as an American warrior patriot?
The two are impossible.
There may BE muslims serving in the military ... I suggest they're not 'serving' so much as they're awaiting THEIR chance.

And he sucked at that. His so called counseling probably consisted of telling the returning heroes that they got what they deserved.
What we have here is the traditional "crazy military psychiatrist" ~ so no one can say they didn't see this coming.
Guy can prescribe powerful psychoactive medicines ~ and in the end they'll be finding out which ones he's been dipping into!
The family and certain elements in the MSM are using Islam as an "excuse" ~ and, of course it plays a part ~ but I'm putting my money on JUNKIE! ~ uh, that also blames Obama and George Soros, and the Tides Foundation, and all the other people who want to make this stuff legal and for it to be distributed in an open market.

Internet postings discussing threats and suicide bombings:
“Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats.” He was, by all accounts and witness statements, a devout and observant muslim.
The author(s) of this article should be horsewhipped.
This would be the definition of “terrorism” which would make him a “terrorist”.
The MSM is working OT in trying to give this terrorist some justification for this act.
