Yes or No answer required: After his response to his statement yesterday where he waited 3 minutes to address the tragedy, do you consider criticism of him to be a “nit-picking potshot”????

Not nitpicking to the mere questioning the judgment of how he went about it. A little second-guessing is part of the job.

But remember, this guy is still the president elected by the majority through the electoral college. I think motive speculation and virulent denunciation is unbecoming at this time. Hasan is the murderer and villain here, not Obama. The murder of our soldiers is infinitely more heinous than any perceived mishandling by the president.

I think there's a bit of overreaction here due to the fact that we don't generally approve of the president's policies.

The man lacks gravitas. Beyond his policy disasters, he is a lightweight with no worthwhile life experience, and no accomplishments besides snookering enough of the sheeple win an election.

I only heard the part when he spoke to the murders at Ft Hood (through Hannity) and my impression was that he was ad libbing; which is stupid as well. He should have had a prepared a statement.

He sounded like a man struggling for the words that he thinks people want to hear instead of expressing his own thoughts and emotions.

It must have been disappointing for many politically aware Democrats, still reeling from the election two days before. The New Jersey gubernatorial vote had already demonstrated that the president and his political team couldn't produce a winning outcome in a state very friendly to Democrats (and where the president won by 15 points one year ago). And now this? Congressional Democrats must wonder if a White House that has burdened them with a too-heavy policy agenda over the last year has a strong enough political operation to help push that agenda through.

The Left now considers Obama, with his amateurish gaffs, to be a liability. Their only hope is to take him down before he sinks the entire Democrat Party.

This guy is open to enough legitimate criticism of his policies without unfair opinions about his thought process.

I think you and your bosses at the white house HOPE like hell that you can spin it as an overreaction by those who really hate the guy; but the fact that this article comes from NBC shows that your hope is pretty slim. The local comments that follow on the link, must not be giving you much hope either.

Commentors can rate their reaction there: 89% chose "furious"; and that's in Chicago, his hometown and not exactly a conservative stronghold.

It's already viral on you-tube and his defenders are few and far between there too.

Try as you will, this video is all over the web; and the vast majority of average American comments ( not just conservative ones) are over whelmingly disgusted.

Listened to a recap of what Obambi said on the radio.

First thoughts: a faker... he's not sorry... and he was unable to get his sh*t together to come off as sympathetic... tone of voice was all wrong...

Is this another incident where it's great to get to take advantage of a crisis, e.g. Soldiers shot... conservatives will grieve and have their minds on that ... meanwhile back in D.C. Pelosi, Kerry, Boxer, Reid and the other maggots will pass Health Care Reform and Cap n Trade.
