Getty Images President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships.
After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.
But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Just heard of FOX..the reporter in at the WH ( not Garrett) say that it was uncertain if 0bama would go to Ft Hood or not as there is so much going on in the world situations. Can you imagine that! President Bush would already be there!!!
I hope all Military Personnel are taking note of just how much this dolt in the WH who is strutting around as CIC cares not one whit about them.

I wasn’t born yet when Carter was in office. I asked my mom yesterday if she was this scared and horrified back then when he was President. She said, “No. I knew he was just a moron. This man is evil. How I feel now if completely foreign to me.”

everyone I know , even those who voted for him are sick of him and how radical they have become but they are fed up of him in another way and that is how he is treating the white hosue like a big laugh,
Many have said how they view him as not taking things seriously and that he is out of touch with average Americans.
More and more are asking about his wife too and why has she not done anything but vacation.
But everyone is fed up of the way he is viewed and views himself as a rock star .
People are losing their jobs and I know quite a few, a couple are being foreclosed and pone elderly has no electricity because she cannot afford her electric bill and this congress keeps going on about health care

If we can just hold him and Radical Democrats off one more year till the mid-term elections, I think we can take back the congress and senate and put an end to this madness.

Oh, I agree. I just don’t think Obama is aware he’s a pawn. He actually thinks it’s all about him which makes him the perfect pawn.
