Nidal Hasans statements about Muslims rising up against the U.S. military arent too far from that, albeit less graphic. The effect of ignoring or downplaying the role that Islamic beliefs and assumptions may have played in his murders only ensures that once again nothing will be done to prevent the eventual advent of the next Nidal Hasan.
“according to eyewitnesses, shouting something in Arabic while he was shooting.
Another story (from the Times Online) is claiming he shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) right before opening fire.

Watch the excuses for the ROP begin. My fear is that this will instigate even more attacks by those who follow the false prophet.
I think one angle that will never be looked into properly is the fact he was a psychiatrist. what drugs did he take and is it similar to the Columbine kids?
The link between psych drugs and these incidents has never gotten a full airing.
Just found out a multiple shooting occured in Orlando in the last few minutes. Details to follow.

Thanks for your truthful post. The pictures confirm what the U.S. is facing. Wish more people would acknowledge what has happened here.
I’m sure that if he had been shouting “Jesus loves you” the MSM would be all over it and the lib commentators would be proposing taking away tax exempt status from Christian churches and removing chaplains from the Military
Yeah, it’s a real mystery alright. Let the head-scratching commence.
This is the biggest jump to a conclusion since airplanes with red circles on their wings attacked Pearl Hrbor and we went to war with Japan without even seeing where those airplanes came from. Just because Japan had a red circle on its flag, that doesn’t mean anything. I saw those anti Japanese propaganda movies like Destination Tokyo. Those pilots in the planes with the red circles on them sure looked like Eskimos to me. blblblblblblbl
The Huffington Post has become “The Onion”.
Or the other Terrorist attack on Fort Dix planned by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Close friends of 0bama
When other people snap on the eve of deployment, they go to Canada. Normal people who disagree with a deployment resign and accept prosecution. Or get a lawyer and try to find some loophole.
They don’t slaughter their countrymen.
The shocking thing about this case is that he made his beliefs known on several occasions and no one did anything about it. It didn’t occur to anyone that a major who sided with the enemy ought to be booted out of the army altogether.
The only plausible explanation for Hasan’s behavior is that it was ideological.
Frustration over harrassment: a major has more than enough authority to deal with that.
Desire to get out of the military: after the poor Officer Efficiency Report, that was coming anyway. And if that’s all you want, why risk your life?
Didn’t want to deploy: there are ways to get out of that, but why risk one’s own life?
He knew what was coming once he opened fire, so that discounts anything that has to do with a desire for some different life afterwards.
Therefore, the only plausible reason to do what he did was to make some ideological statement. I think it proves him to have been “imitating” a terrorist act. Just my humble opinion.
I suppose it’s just coincidence this guy went off on the same day as the Washington D.C. march against Obama’s health care plan, effectively bumping it out of the headlines and off the front page
I thought about that, but in any case, it’s ideological.
I’m amazed that PC has gotten so bad in the military that everyone was afraid to turn this clown in.
If he has a security clearance, then that means the nation is at grave risk, for it means that inclusivist PC has reached into our clearance vetting process.
We should be listening to our orthodox Christian brethren about the dangers of Islam to Christianity and to non-Islamic nations. They’ve lived it first hand.
That's enough explanation for me.
Anything else is an excuse.
It isn’t an “excuse” is is a problem running through society that no one is paying a bit of attention to. Americans are drugged to the hilt on mind altering drugs, whether this guy was a muslim nutjob or a psych nutjob. We’re being dumbed down on about 15 levels of idiocy.
The sad thing is, likely, no one will even ask the question.
I don't think in this case that it is any more complicated than that.
And I know of several in my circle of acquaintence, of the problems of drink and drugs.
Most of them would do better on psych drugs, than trying to medicate themselves.
I would assume he had a security clearance and had had it for a long time.
We should be listening to our orthodox Christian brethren about the dangers of Islam to Christianity and to non-Islamic nations. They've lived it first hand.
Amen. But when does this country listen to Christians about anything?
