(Newser) In the GOP upsets in Virginia and New Jersey, Daniel Henninger doesn't just see Obama backlash, he sees a voter rebellion from both parties, with independent Americans behaving like stampeding cattle.
That independents would within one year swing from Obama enthusiasts to backing decent-to-weak Republicans in Virginia and New Jersey is simply astonishing, writes the Wall Street Journal opinion editor. The American voter is absolutely, totally, unremittingly disgusted with both political parties.
The stampeding bulls veered left last year and right this year. They will keep runningcrushing incumbents, candidates and political models of the left and rightuntil they find a person or party capable of leadership.
This isnt normal for a president to be in so much trouble after 10 months, but after watching the economy crumble last year, voters are restless. Expect volatile elections to be the new norm.
meanwhile, ears, pelosi and reid still insist they know best and will try (every political trick) to ram this down peoples throats..

DUH!!
In other news, water is wet. :)
Gotta hand it to zero and 9%-Nancy, they’ve activated conservative (real conservative) activism like no repub ever could.
Many of the “Teabaggers” should consider running against their Representative and stressing the need to get back to people other than attorneys holding these seats. That was what was meant to be.
When I heard that a Democrat’s aid told a Constituent, when he challenged the Health Care on a Constitutional basis, that “she doesn’t care about the Constitution” I realized that we have to act fast or we are going down the drain.
I sure hope that anyone who votes for more bailouts, more “too big to fail”, winds up with hoofmarks between the shoulder blades.
Being portrayed as stampeding bulls is suppose to be an insult, but I don't know, I kind of like it. Bulls are strong, stubborn, demonstrative, leaders, they get their way etc., I can take that. It conjures up a stronger image than people with tea bags hanging from their hats. I'll take it.
Ditto’s on DUH!
Well, at least one publication gets it.
...to the "Broken Glass Republicans" at the end of Clinton's term...
...now to the "Rampaging Herd of Independents"....
Tell you what...unless the incumbent is staunchly conservative (no RINO tendancies whatsoever)...I will be voting against any and all of them (thankfully most of them are liberal D's anymore, so will do so with a gleeful grin, too!)
You bring the tar, I’ll bring the feathers!
The light at the end of the DNC tunnel is a train!
It will require a dynamic leader with exceptional organizational and planning skills to turn this into something more substantial than the same old wash, rinse and repeat.
Is it Palin? Is it Rubio? Is it Rand Paul? Jindal had to slide back into the shadows for awhile.
Who is out there to turn this into SOMETHING tangible?
I wish. I have decided to no longer vote for any incumbent. If the incumbent for any office is a Repub, I'll vote Libertarian or I won't vote at all. If a Dem, I'll vote for a consevative Republican.
In answer to your last question, how about Dick Armey? I'd love to see him run.
Has anybody seen John McCain?
Conservative politicians who stay true to their principles will not be crushed by this herd, they will be leading it.
