Take a look at Hasan's old mosque
NY Post ^ | November 7, 2009 | STEPHEN SCHWARTZ

What interpretation of Islam influ enced Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan? As often before, the trail leads to the official sect of Saudi Arabia -- known as Wahhabism to most of us of who denounce it.

Confronting the role of radical Islam here is not Islamophobic, but common sense -- and the first response moderate Muslims themselves will have.

Hasan, though born in America, refused to have his picture taken with women -- an attitude distinct to fundamentalist radicalism among Muslims. The Prophet Mohammed cautioned his followers that when they go to live in non-Muslim lands they must accept the laws and customs of their new home. Millions of American Muslims get their picture taken with women, even ones not their wives, and don't worry about it. To refuse such an elementary and even trivial act of courtesy sets Muslims apart -- and that is the aim of radicals.

Obama could completely turn around his fortunes if he cracked down on mosques like this. People would be stunned and shocked, and it'd be a true Nixon Goes To China moment. He would unite Americans in a war against terrorists who are actively trying to kill us all, straight and gay, believer and nonbeliever, white and black...

P.S. I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Democrat tax cutting, too.

The Govt Controlled Media doesn’t seem to be doing any real research into the background of this “Hussein”. He was no moderate muslim if he wouldn’t associate with women..he was a radical fundamentalist.
There are a lot of them out there..and they are dangerous.

I have been wondering if Hasan is gay. It would explain a lot of his anger at the military as well as why he became so radicalized in his religion.

How fitting that it was a female officer who took him down.

Schwartz doesn’t seem specific in his piece- he simply says the trail leads ...but if it’s true that Hasan’s mosque is aligned with Wahhabism- this guy was truly indoctrinated.

Been saying track down what was going on in his mosque.

It’s good to read that several of the radicals associated with this mosque are under indictment or investigation or have been arrested at least. For that I am grateful.

Looks like it’s time to do a whole more such investigations and arrests.

(I know, I know - am dreaming since it’s doubtful any such investigations will happen under Zero’s administration.....)

“but if it’s true that Hasan’s mosque is aligned with Wahhabism”

Most US Mosques are Saudi funded and so teach Wahhabism.

For 20 years. Obama was a member of a hate mongering church of his own... a church that hates America nearly as much as does a radical mosque. a church that often had hate merchants like Farrakhan speak. What do you expect him to do?

So as a shrink did he refuse to see female patients? If so I would think his command would have issues with that.

Medical treatment is allowable between genders in Islam.

In Afghanistan the women could see women doctors only, but women aren’t allowed to study medicine...

The Pashtun were Sunni, the Shia Hazara and others were looked down upon.

The families I know are Iraqi Sunni. They say that medical personnel are looked upon as members of the family and are not subject to the same strictures that are placed on non-family males. For that matter, they don't even care that their primary doctor is a Jew.

That is interesting. Do they ever express how they feel towards the Shia?

The feeling is more that the Iranians take advantage of the Shia to foment trouble against Iraq rather than that the Shia are dumb hicks that don't know real Islam from a hole in the ground, though I think the latter is not that far from their mind.

Also, the sense I get is that they think the Shia are a bit weird but that if they want to believe whatever, okay, so long as they don't use that as a pretext for attacking them. They do think, I believe I said earlier, that wahhabists are following a perverted form of Islam that makes things tough on everyone else.
