Well, one group you can add is the ANA...the American Nurses’ Association....I am a nurse and have never been a member because they had all of these “degree” nurses with agendas outside of improved health care. Any nurse with any concern for this country should drop from that group if they are a member. I never heard of any uprising in the nursing community against their endorsing this bill...much unlike the doctors. It’s a sad day, indeed.

Not so. Their plan is to implement it in 2013, after Obama gets re-elected. Pelosi desperately wants him to get credit for salvaging American health care and not, say, get thrown out of office for it.
They are advertising their Advantage plans non stop on our cable.
When you are on fixed incomes like social security..the pittance given by our gracious government and not entitled to a cost of living raise for two years....you will appreciate any and all discounts.

Wowsers, Social Security sounds so great! As a Gen Xer, I thank you oldsters for fighting tooth and nail against any real reform of that socialist monstrosity.

What discounts?
We are on Social Security and don’t have any retirement and our Medicare Advantage plan is what makes Medicare afordable.
I have not seen any ad for the advantage plan...just the supplemental..I’m not inferring you are incorrect...that just wouldn’t benefit them except for short term...and that would depend on how fast Congress will dump that program after the final bill...but, AARP is full of progressives so I wouldn’t be surprised that they would try to confuse the people even more and drag out every dime before the whole thing goes kaplooey.
I should've mentioned that. The tax increases will be immediate, the "benefits" will begin much later.
