In a historic vote the House Health Care Bill Passed the House of Representatives 220 - 215 with 64 Democrats voting against the measure. However, the true test of whether it can pass the senate still looms. With a test vote losing out 47-53 a few weeks ago over the Baucus Bill, much persuasion must be had in the Senate for a bill to arrive at the President’s desk...

I guess nobody remembers when Rostenkowski et al passed a more comprehensive Medicare with a small premium requirement in the late 1980's and Seniors actually rocked Rosty's limo in Chicago.

Old Claude Pepper of FL bellered "Hands of my Medicare" until the House repealed what was actually a pretty good law, signed by President Reagan, in just a couple of days!!!

Thanks for the encouragement...but I think we lost our country...next is disarming the citizens....then citizen soldiers....it coming. I hate that my mother who loves her country and lived through the wonderful spirit of American Patriotism....and respect for country, soldiers and family has to see such an awful display of disregard...she called me in her sweet voice and softly said...”what does this mean?” I told her dont worry mom...Tomorrow is her 74th Birthday....God help us....I am crying for my mom and what used to be a beautiful Country!

I think it’s very likely it will pass - in some form - in the Senate. It will be just as close, and I’m pretty sure the Stupak amendment will get stripped out before it’s done. In other words, get yourself well positioned over the nearest toilet bowl.

It is going to have to get a lot larger with millions involved. Only 10,000 on the Capitol last Thursday - there should have been millions of small business owners take the day off and fly to DC if they really understand what is coming their way. OR maybe they like it and so don't care. ONE thing for sure, the elderly are going to start taking the screwing in 2013, or sooner. AND Medicare is still on its march toward BANKRUPTCY. Why would anyone believe the numbers these bozos use when their track record on Medicare form 1965 were off by a factor of 10. Or their record on forecasting unemployment levels in just the last 12 months?
