I find it very revealing that POTUS had 5 press conferences in first six months in office, and none in the last 4. When he was popular and the MSM was in love with him, he would do a presser every month. He knew he would get softball questions, he had not made any decisions, and could blame everything on Bush.

Now, 10 months into his term, his policies look like a train wreck, and even some of his adoring fans in the MSM are questioning him.

How does he respond? He hides from the press. No press conferences and few media interviews at all. A couple weeks ago he had Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann over to the White House for lunch. This week he had the sycophants from the NY Times, NPR, and other arms of his propaganda machine over for lunch.

He also has his minions calling and threatening Democrats who dare appear on Fox News. He gave a bizarre speech at the Interior Dept where he seemed totally emotionless and took a full two minutes of extolling the greatness of his relationship with native americans before he got around to discussing the massacre at Ft. Hood.

I think Obama the man is becoming more detached from reality by the day. each week he holds lavish parties at the White House involinvg his political constituencies. Whether it is rap stars, classical music (this week), or hispanice celebrations, it seems Obama has lost touch with America.

I often say it seems sometimes I feel like I am watching an MTV eality show when I see Obama. For him it is all about posing and not about doing. It is all flash and no substance. FReepers recognized that before he was elected, but you would have to have blinders on to not see he is an empty suit now.
