I guess these officials didn’t take the congressional classes on how to manipulate town hall meetings yet.

I blame the loss in NY 23 entirely on the Republican leadership, in New York State and, more importantly, in Washington. It wasn’t a Democrat win, it was a stupid and unnecessary Republican loss.

We still defeated Scozzafava, and that was a big victory in itself. And we ALMOST took the seat in spite of a major Republican campaign against the Conservative candidate.

If they had spent that money and energy in California, we would have picked up two seats instead of losing two.

Not only in blue Westchester either. Nassau County Long Island saw big GOP gains in the municipalities, as did my hometown in blue CT.

This is no fluke.

These fools are committing political suicide ahead of 010 & 012.

One of my first insights on last week’s election results was that the startling results in New York City’s suburbs — in which voters threw out long-time Democrats who had become the established ruling party for some years — is a far bigger indicator of national sentiment than any of the governor’s elections or Congressional elections that got most of the media coverage.

I, for one, am leaving NY State before I turn 55.

Come to Texas. Right now.

No state income tax. Sales tax 8.25%. Unemployment 8.3% (mostly illegals). And we're going to secede. Bring your conservative and libertarian friends and relatives down here, pronto.

Indeed. Conservatives and Libertarians are welcome. Go to Austin first so that we can retake it from the commies.

Not to sure about the “if”. The average IQ in Kalifornia is about 5, real unemployment probably approaching 20% and the Obama is loved, believed, and worshiped. This is a state that is controlled by the nonworking, don’t wanna work, non-citizens, and one of the biggest RINO’s on the planet. This freaking state shut off the water to the farmers in the central valley and people think thats good cause is saved a f___ing little fish. Cant grow food, cant eat the little fish...

Long past the time to give up on Kalifornia just acknowledge it as a new third world entity. America would be better giving it to Mexico and avoid the pain of its pending bankruptcy.

( I know I live here)

I saw that in Nassau County — Souzzi barely retained his position as County Executive by something like 300 votes out of a couple hundred thousand. Well within the ACORN margin of fraud.

Thanks for the offer, but some of us are carving out niches as Constitutional fifth columnists in the People's Republics of the Northeast. We'll stay behind enemy lines and sow as much confusion as possible. Did you see what we did with Corzine? Mwa ha haaaaaaaaa!

I don’t think they have the slightest clue what’s heading their way, nor do they care.

Yep, the conservative rebirth is being missed by all the pundents and those in DC.. they really are completely clueless what they have done.

Liberal republicans and social-democrats are going to find themselves tossed out on their butts en masse in 2010. Dems as a whole will be the larger party to suffer at all levels, but but just having an R beside your name isn’t going to save you either.

Only the bluest of blue districts will liberal players be safe.

“There is a huge battle coming up, between private sector workers and public sector employees, over pensions and the raw size of the government payroll. There is no way the private sector will pay to cover generous and underfunded pensions when private sector working stiffs don’t have any pension coverage. And this WILL get very ugly....”

Ya know...I’ve been trying to perceive just where the “divide” that will define the participants and the sides in the coming civil war will be....you just defined it.

Indeed. Well done.

If you ever need any place to come, or any supplies, you send word, and the free men of the Republic of Texas will stand with you.
