Huckabee Takes Swipe At Sarah Palin

The Huckster took a swipe at Sarah Palin and he did it with a smile. He does everything with a smile, being far from the first snake I've seen that has himself one of those. At least she isn't a Mormon. He might cut her a little bit of slack. Why am I thinking Huck has now read every Palin column Andy Sullivan has ever written?

The Hucky puck doesn't like it that he's being overshadowed by both Palin and Romney, who comes up in the interview, as well. Is Huck's real problem that Sarah may have blown him off as far as appearing on his show? Or is he laying the ground work for 2010? My guess is, it's a little bit of both. The dude should shave his legs and see how he looks in a skirt. Maybe he can compete, maybe not. But it's fairly clear that whatever bit of rock star rep Huck had because he plays the bass is destined to be overshadowed by Sarah Palin no matter what he does.

I doubt any swipes he takes at Palin are going to win him many new fans. And that's just fine and dandy as far as I'm concerned.

“Some of the people who had excoriated me and really been very dismissive of me for views that I had taken, and labeled me anything from a populist to an ignoramus — the same people have been very defensive [of] and laudatory to Sarah Palin,” Huckabee noted, adding that he’d invited her to appear on his weekly Fox show but “could never get any contact.”

“I’m glad she’s getting the props — I know I’m not nearly as attractive,” he said with a guileless grin.

Huckabee is unceasingly pleasant and mild, even in relating his grievances. The same sense of humor is there, too. But so are an obvious frustration and a barely concealed bitterness, as well as the underlying question of whether Huckabee really wants to go through with this again or, instead, succumb fully to the showbiz side that he began polishing as a teenage disc jockey in Hope, Ark.

Keep hope alive, dope. But don't let your Fox contract expire. You might find yourself having problems winning the next job you might desire.

Sarah Palin’s comments on Face Book, National Review Online, Wall Street Journal are living in the head of Obama.
He has commented about her comments re Death Boards, etc.

The wannaBees who will be a never was, Romney, Huck, Pawlenty, etc. what ever they may say, no one cares,
They will never draw the crowds Palin does and Palin has the base in the Republican party, the wannaBees are digging around in hope someone notices them.

Huckabee should never be trusted under any circumstances. Remember, it was Huckabee more than anyone else that saddled us with lame McCain as a candidate when he refused ti withdraw from the primary when any true sense of commitment to the conservative cause should have dictated he do so. Who knows what was promised to get him to stay in. It was clear to everyone that a large majority of his primary votes would have gone to Romnie.

I was not then and am not now in love with Romnie. I just knew McCain was by far a worse choice than Romnie and that he could not win under any set of circumstances.

The question will be whether the grassroots will support the candidate the national party refuses to support. I suspect that Romney and Hucklebee have the national coffers tied up already. Sarah will have to win on merit because the money will be elsewhere.

Gut-check time...again. sigh...

he and Mitt both need to be jetisonned out of the pool quickly.

Why?

Because this:

They are both two faced political whores.

Makes them sound perfectly fitted for the job of standard-bearer of the GOP.

Yep, he was the kid in school who tried to be funny but kept getting his arse beat, then cried to the teacher because no one listens to him.

I am certainly not a Romney fan, but I thought Huck's childish behavior in the primaries toward Romney was an utter disgrace and embarrassment. This, from a man of the cloth, too.

Huck’s been taking swipes at her for the last year, whether it was his comment that Palin looked better in high heels than he did, to his laughing it up with Couric at some press dinner some months ago. He’s going to start a book tour the day before she does, and he knows that her book will out sell every book he’s written combined by a factor of at least 5, plus she’ll draw huge crowds at her book signings, and his crowds will barely qualify as crowds at all. I’m not sure about what his shows ratings are, but I quit watching about 2 or 3 wedeks into it, but taking swipes at her is not the way to get her on his show. All he wants is a big boost in his ratings, even if it’s for one night.

Just remember Reagan, he was the bete noir of the establishment Pubbies, and finally after Carter, they all came around supported him. We may have to put up with an establishment VP, but I don’t see any romnoids or hucksters on the ticket. Best case would be Palin and McDonnel. Imagine a total conservative ticket?

..my criticism of Huck is that his politics are not as conservative as he presents--maybe slightly to the left of GWB

He is a former pastor who is a very smooth politician. The fact the he joined his nemesis Romney in not endorsing Hoffman last week should be a red flag for social conservatives who think he is so swell--Chuck Norris notwithstanding...

Huck is not the annointed one. Sarah is.

Huck’s true calling is to polish Sarah’s nails, wash her feet, walk her dog, or maybe clean her snow machine.

Yep. I was never vote for a jive-ass huckster preacher for President. Not going to happen!

If he is the nominee in 2012, I’ll sit at home again.

Catholics need to clean their own house of snakes first. Way too many vote for abortion loving politicians and claim to be devoute.

As a group, their ignorance in politics is astonding. I am not trashing all Catholics but the 60%+ that vote democrat every election, including for Obama.

Many Catholics don't have a clue as to the power of the faith they belong to. It really is almost impossible to be a "great" Catholic by going to Mass just on Sunday, just as it would be for a Sunday-only runner to win the Boston Marathon. But you only need one really strong Catholic (fueled by the frequent reception of the Body of Christ) to lead an entire army. Look at St. Joan of Arc. -- Now, if Sarah Palin was to become a Catholic ... :)

I can't even find a serious (truly conservative) Catholic at Mass on Sundays....or at the alter saying. Now why you think we can find one to run for president of the US is beyond me.

I don't care what faith, as long as they are true conservative

You will find "The Heavy Hitters" at daily Mass. They are mixed in during Sunday, of course, but usually at the earliest Mass your parish has. Bobby Jindal is a Catholic, and he seems to be strong in his faith.

There is nothing wrong with conservative Christians of other faiths in a "usual" election for the United States. But this is no longer a usual election. We are fighting demons, not just people making bad decisions. That's why we need a powerful Catholic in office (who "lives" on the Bread of Christ). Kumbaya just won't cut through the darkness of what is now happening in The White House.

If Sarah became a Catholic, she would immediately lose a sizable portion of her support.
