I take it you don’t have much respect for people who believe that God could have created life with the ability to evolve.

We can tell those that print revisionist history books how it displeases us, we can tell the same to those who publish textbooks that refer to evolution as fact. And have you looked at the new math? I have to go back through several chapters of those to help any student who asks for tutoring and learn a new way to get “x” to one side of an equation.

We must act independently of the education system these days to make any progress (or is that reverse progress?) to the indoctrination given our kids in all levels of education. We have to live good lives and show that it’s not undesirable to be on God’s good side. We must raise our children to look out for the lies that will be shoved in their faces the rest of their lives, from education (indoctrination) to advertising. They even have to learn to double check the preaching of their good pastor, and the teaching of their Sunday School teachers. Satan only needs to steer one off course but the nth degree to succeed.

this is the chorus from one of the first songs I wrote as a prayer to raise our son right: “This Daddy’s Prayer”

Lord, help us teach him the danger of Satan’s lies.

And let Jesus into his heart before he dies.

So we can still be a family in Heaven way up there.

I’m sure Lord you can hear this daddy’s prayer.

This was inspired by the local important people (I think City Council, PTA and other fuddy duddies) in the little town we lived in at the time doing a TV studio and home audience forum about a contract between teens and their parents. They wanted parents to sign a contract with their kids so the kid could call home from a party too wasted to drive and Mom or Dad would come pick them up and not be mad and punish their kid for getting drunk or whatever.

I knew right then that we were on our own raising the boy. We weren’t going to get any help from schools and the community.

Maybe that’s as it should be.
